Which generation is buying the most homes?
This year, the trophy goes to Baby Boomers.
According to the U.S.-based National Association of Realtors, in 2022, Boomers overtook Millennials as the largest generation of homebuyers. They also continued to make up the largest segment of home sellers.
While the desire to own a home remains high for all generations, the advantage has shifted to Boomers, many of whom are repeat buyers who can use their existing equity to purchase a new home.
